Who is leading the Giro d'Italia 2025 after stage 20?
The full general classification, along with the latest stage result, and the standings for the other jerseys
Simon Yates (Visma-Lease a Bike) moved into the overall lead on stage 20 of the Giro d’Italia, after breaking clear of race leader Isaac Del Toro (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) and second-placed Richard Carapaz (EF Education-EasyPost) on the climb of the Finestre.
The stage was won solo by Chris Harper (Team Jayco-AlUla), ahead of Alessandro Verre (Arkea-B&B Hotels) and with Yates third. The British rider finished more than five minutes clear of Del Toro and Carapaz, who dropped to second and third on GC, respectively.
On a day that crossed four mountain passes, Lorenzo Fortunato (XDS Astana) retained his blue jersey as the King of the Mountains. The Italian's lead in the classification was already unassailable, meaning he will win it as long as he finishes the race on Sunday.
Likewise, Mads Pedersen (Lidl-Trek) has mathematically secured the points classification.
